Bolero

I learnt a new Ballroom Dance recently, called Bolero. The music is really beautiful, you should all learn it. It's also really romantic.

LOVE IT!!!

Manual Lesson

I think I can drive manual. At the very least I can drive forward and make turns....I think Chris is pleased wth my progress and come to think of it, I've surpassed my own expectations.

I must say driving manual is so very hard! So auto drivers, please take note: do NOT stop too close to the car infront. For example, people like me who's never done it before, if you stop too close and I start rolling back, then Really, YOU caused the accident.

Don't say I didn't warn you.

Snowboard

I have fallen in loveCardrona    with Snowboarding all over again. This time I had all my own gear, and everything functioned properly. All except for the weather at the mountain tops....

We had reasonable sunshine on the 1st day, a little bit less on the 2nd. On the 3rd we unanimously agreed to stay in as it was raining. 4th day was Blizzard with 2% visibility. 5th day and 6th day was extremely foggy with 2.1% visibility. But I still had enormous fun.

View_5I loved Wanaka. It has a lake with snow capped mountains surrounding it. In the afternoon we'd come back from a hard day of vigorous snowboarding (includes falling forwards, backwards, sidewards etc etc) and just by looking at the views and taking a few deep breaths, relaxes your whole mind and all the aching muscles in your body.

It's a very tranquil and serene place.View_lake_3 It's just absolutly beautiful.

Everyone should go there!!

Homemade Japanese

Friday_dinner  Clockwise from top: Horenso no goma-ae (Spinach in Sesame Dressing), Kinmedai no nitsuke (Simmered Flatfish), Tofu and Avocado Salad, Wafu Steak (Japanese Style Steak).

I FINALLY decided to use some of the recipes from my Cookbook Collection. Chris always says that I buy buy buy all these cookbooks but never use them. So I decided to choose some recipes and cook Chris and Mum a Japanese Meal.

From the dishes above the fish wasn't as successful, I blame the fish.....

The dishes were really simple to make, buying the ingredients were way tougher.

Next meal I'd like to make Korean, I'm really into Kimchi. I also wanna go to a Pasta making session. Just need to find time.

Haircut

Went for a haircut today at PRICE ATTACK...I was going cheap.

I purposely asked the lady at the counter how much. She said $35 for a wash, cut and dry.

So, I got my rinse and the hair stylist -Jasmine (beautiful name) began to cut away. After the cut she asks me "Do you wanna blow dry it?" - My reply was a quick "YES" when in my mind I was thinking...."hell yeh, it's included!!".

Jasmine was good, better than I expected from Price Attack, and she put an ample amount of different products in my hair, which made it look great.

BUT when I went to pay, she asked for $75. $75!!!!!! I paid obligingly without a question or hesitation....and now I ask myself "WHY??!?!?!".

Hmmm.......I don't know....probably cos I liked Jasmine, she was easy going, and very nice. She was nice to the lady at the counter - obviously new - when other (male) hair stylist gave her grief and bullied her.

Secondly, Jasmine DID do a great job....whether it was WORTH the full $75 is another matter *sigh*

EVEN THOUGH Chris and my Mother can't really tell that I got a cut...especially a $75 one.

SO once again, when I try going cheap at the hairdressers, I end up paying more....which has happened more than twice now. They seem to break up costs, so you get confused and end up having to fork out the money, since the service has been performed.

However I will still go back...only for the $35 dollar cut tho. (FINGERS CROSSED) hehehe...
